PHILOSOPOHPY

Like many other companies, we’re trying, not to save the world,

but to build a world that doesn’t need saving.

Future Proof
Companies

The world is full of companies that are behind the curve of the effort to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

We do not oppose the goal of a net zero world with respect to climate gas emissions. We do, however, find it hopelessly unambitious.

The need is for zero emission solutions today or emission sequestering. Not carbon storage that only continues fossil fuel consumption, but efficiency in the use of resources and consumption that embeds natural sequestration in the product cycle.

We´d rather invest in companies that are clearly ahead of the transition curve. Examples are our listed stocks within such sectors as:  Solar, Wind, Bio-Refinery, EV Production, Recycling, Sustainable Real Estate, and Sustainable Finance. (GABV)

Our company’s energy, action, and assets are all dedicated to social, environmental, and financial sustainability. Our primary aim is to have maximum impact per dollar invested. Existing companies may increase their impact, or new companies may create alternative solutions.

We have chosen to start, build, and scale companies from scratch. It expresses the core theme of additionality: creating embedded business cultures and solutions for the common good. Likewise, we attempt to nudge incumbent companies toward a more progressive stance on sustainability.

creating companies, but to get things done.

Selection

Here are simple questions we ask:

Is the business model of the company we’re considering investing in contributing to solutions for UN´s Sustainable Development Goals?

Will that company benefit from more transparency, or are there hidden external expenses which the future will reveal?

Every company has an impact on society. It may create good or bad working conditions, pollute a lot, a little, or not at all, pay tax to support the common good or evade paying it. We believe too much capital is dedicated to achieving short term financial returns at the expense of people and their planet.

Accounting – Divergence to Convergence

The traditional accounting method hasn’t changed for 300 years. It measures monetary performance, while neglecting its unintended consequences. Financial success means you’ve done something right with your money economically.

Our aim is to contribute towards SDGs through investments in specific companies. We base our selection on business models with ERR (External Rate of Returns), that is, successful returns equate to fulfilling SDGs. If we do not expect a profitable financial return from those companies or projects, we do not invest in them.
